Covid-19 Update About Our Service

We are open

We wanted to reassure our customers that we are open and are shipping orders while also taking strict health and safety measures to ensure business continuity.

What are we doing?

We are maintaining the highest standard of hygiene in our office and practicing social distancing. Being a small team, we are able to create a tightly controlled environment and follow all guidance from World Heath Organisation (WHO) and the Government. We are constantly monitoring for any changes to this guidance and will take necessary action if needed whilst keeping our customers informed.

Following UK Government's Lockdown as of 23rd March, we continue to operate in accordance with governments guidance for online businesses.

We are working closely with our suppliers to ensure stock levels are maintained and are in regular contact for updates. We have every confidence in the steps they have taken to operate safely.

We continue to ship according to our shipping policy within 48 hours of your order. If this takes us slightly longer this would be due to any additional precautionary measures we needed to take and limited opening hours of our local post office -  we kindly ask for your understanding.

We ship with Royal Mail and as of 24th March, they advise of possible delays due to increased staff absence and limited opening hours. Please allow longer delivery times - although most orders are delivered within expected timelines, on rare occassions, they may take up to 10 working days from the time of shipment.

Royal Mail are committing to providing best service possible. Royal Mail has taken the following steps, so far:

  • Change of opening hours of customer service points and delivery offices
  • Any parcels that do not fit into a letter box will be left outside the door and the delivery person will knock the door and step aside while the customer receives the item.
  • No signatures will be required upon delivery and instead a name of the person accepting the parcel will be logged.

Should there be any additional changes to the Royal Mail service that affect our customers parcels, we will inform our customers accordingly.

You can view the latest updates from Royal Mail including FAQs here.

A message from us

Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to send a message of care. Please look after your own health and each other. Wash your hands regularly, limit the amount of times you touch your face, and practice social distancing even though you may find it hard. We have found a great resource for managing stress during this time on the website of the Mental Health Foundation.

Take care,

Aggie & Chris @ The Proper Soap Company
